5 Ways Beauty Products Can Ruin Your Day

Many of us will agree that beauty products are great. Makeup can conceal a sleepless night and make your eyes look bigger and a good hair product can make you feel like a film star. There are, however, some occasions when beauty products are not your friend. In fact sometimes they can be your day-ruining worst enemy. Here are 5 ways beauty products can ruin your day: View Full Post

I am a massive lipstick fan. I get more excited about buying a lipstick than I do any other beauty product. There are just so many different formulas and shades out there that I need to try! This does come with a problem though- I’m terrible at finishing a lipstick (I don’t think I’ve ever done it). I’ll use one a few times, put it in a bag and completely forget that I have it. I do however have a small collection that I wear regularly. These are the more neutral, daytime friendly shades and I’ll give you a rundown of my top 5 most used lipsticks. I have tried to represent the colour of the lipsticks accurately in the photos, but I would say they all look a tiny bit darker on the lips than the picture shows.

No points for originality here, but it really is the perfect daytime shade. I have written a full review on Velvet Teddy here.

Changing My Writing Style- From Scientific Writing to Blog Writing

Before I started this blog I was at University studying for a degree in Forensic Science. After I graduated I had a lot of free time and, being a beauty fan,  I decided to start my own blog. I thought I’d put together a little list of the the rules I had to stick to, the differences and everything I’ve had to change. View Full Post

Festival Beauty Essentials

The combination of camping and not washing is not the best way to look good. I do have some experience of festivals. I have been to Reading and Glastonbury a couple of times and am also going to Glastonbury again this year. So here’s a list of some beauty items that are, in my opinion, festival essentials. Getting Started On Pinterest- What I have learnt about Pinterest. Including "should you use a business account?", how to verify your site, pinning from your site, gaining followers and how to find pins.

I’ve always struggled to get into Pinterest. I heard about bloggers getting a lot of traffic from it, but I just couldn’t seem to make it work for me. A couple of weeks ago I decided that I would make an effort and I am now a little bit obsessed! Just to be clear this isn’t going to be an advice post because I am still very new to Pinterest and there are a lot of things I have to learn, but I thought I would share with you what I have learnt so far. Also apologies if any of this seems obvious, but I am aiming this post at complete Pinterest newbies like me! View Full Post
