Lipstick of the month - Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade "Serenity".

I’ve decided to start a new series on my blog called “Lipstick of The Month”. If you’ve read any other posts on this blog you might have noticed that I’ve got a bit of a thing for lipstick. No other beauty product makes me as happy as a new lipstick, and you can never have too many nudes right? So I thought why not dedicate a whole post each month to a lip product I’ve been loving? Whether it be a new discovery or an old favourite. The product I’ve chosen to be my first ever lipstick of the month is a new discovery and it is… *dramatic pause*… the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Serenity”. Mac Shy Girl Review Swatches

Before this purchase I hadn’t bought a MAC lipstick for a while. I think I convinced myself that they were too popular and I was just buying them because of the hype. However, I have now fallen back in love with MAC. Over the summer I was on the hunt for my perfect peachy nude. I never really found the shade and to be honest I forgot all about it. That was until I saw Shy Girl. I love a good daytime lipstick and Shy Girl is perfect. View Full Post

Essie Gel Setter Nail Varnish Review with Meet Me At Sunset

I, like many bloggers, have a mild Essie obsession. The colours are all so pretty and the quality is good as well! Last week I was having a browse in Boots (as I do most weeks) and I saw that they had an offer on- buy the Gel Setter nail varnish + any colour for £15. Bought without the deal the nail varnishes would have cost £17.99, so the chance to save a couple of pounds was enough to convince me. The next challenge was to choose a colour, not an easy task at all! Eventually, after I had been staring at the polishes for a little too long, I went for the shade “Meet Me At Sunset”.  View Full Post

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette Review

I have wanted a Zoeva eyeshadow palette for quite a while, after reading about how good the quality was for the price. I also bought a couple of Zoeva lipsticks (read my review here) and was impressed with how good they were. If you read a lot of beauty blogs then you may have seen some reviews of the Cocoa Blend palette. I knew I wanted it as soon as I saw it! The best place to get hold of Zoeva products in the UK is the online store Beauty Bay, unless you want to pay for shipping from Germany.  As soon as they tweeted that this was back in stock I headed over to their site to purchase it. Zoeva Luxe Cream Lipstick Review. Shades Easy Spirit and Faith and Love.

Lipstick is probably my favourite makeup item to buy. It’s fair to say I have a slight obsession. I realised recently that I don’t have many “summer” shades and as the weather is getting warmer I had the perfect excuse to buy some! I do have a few oranges but they are all quite bright and I wanted something more subtle. Zoeva is a brand I have always wanted to try (I still have my eye on their brushes and eyeshadow palettes), so I decided to buy a couple of their Luxe Cream Lipsticks. As I wanted a daytime lip colour I chose two of the lightest shades “Easy Spirit” (on the left in both photos) and “Faith and Love” (on the right in both photos). View Full Post

lipstick review, bourjois

For today’s post I have decided to write a review on the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in the shade Nude-ist. I’ve seen quite a few reviews on this lipstick from Bourjois and they have been mostly very positive so I gave in and bought one for myself. As you may be aware if you’ve read any of my previous lipstick posts I am a little obsessed with nude lips at the moment, so I had to choose the shade Nude-ist. View Full Post
