Help I gave into the hype- Illamasqua Hydra Veil Review

Help Gave Into the Hype is a series of posts about products I’ve bought because I’ve been convinced by amazing blogger reviews and have absolutely no will power to stop myself. My latest purchase is the Illamasqua Hydra Veil. My previous hype buys were the PIXI Glow Tonic and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara both of which I really liked, so I had high hopes for the Hydra Veil. It has been around for a while, but if you haven’t heard of it, the Hydra Veil is like a combination of a hydrating skincare product and a primer. View Full Post

Lipstick of the month - Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade "Serenity".

I’ve decided to start a new series on my blog called “Lipstick of The Month”. If you’ve read any other posts on this blog you might have noticed that I’ve got a bit of a thing for lipstick. No other beauty product makes me as happy as a new lipstick, and you can never have too many nudes right? So I thought why not dedicate a whole post each month to a lip product I’ve been loving? Whether it be a new discovery or an old favourite. The product I’ve chosen to be my first ever lipstick of the month is a new discovery and it is… *dramatic pause*… the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Serenity”. Essie Gel Setter Nail Varnish Review with Meet Me At Sunset

I, like many bloggers, have a mild Essie obsession. The colours are all so pretty and the quality is good as well! Last week I was having a browse in Boots (as I do most weeks) and I saw that they had an offer on- buy the Gel Setter nail varnish + any colour for £15. Bought without the deal the nail varnishes would have cost £17.99, so the chance to save a couple of pounds was enough to convince me. The next challenge was to choose a colour, not an easy task at all! Eventually, after I had been staring at the polishes for a little too long, I went for the shade “Meet Me At Sunset”.  View Full Post

Zoeva Luxe Cream Lipstick Review. Shades Easy Spirit and Faith and Love.

Lipstick is probably my favourite makeup item to buy. It’s fair to say I have a slight obsession. I realised recently that I don’t have many “summer” shades and as the weather is getting warmer I had the perfect excuse to buy some! I do have a few oranges but they are all quite bright and I wanted something more subtle. Zoeva is a brand I have always wanted to try (I still have my eye on their brushes and eyeshadow palettes), so I decided to buy a couple of their Luxe Cream Lipsticks. As I wanted a daytime lip colour I chose two of the lightest shades “Easy Spirit” (on the left in both photos) and “Faith and Love” (on the right in both photos). View Full Post

Mac Velvet teddy review

Last month I wrote about my first MAC purchase, a lipstick in the shade Spirit (here). I really loved it so I knew it wouldn’t be long before I bought another one. I was having a browse on the Debenhams website when I noticed they had 10% off beauty (they seem to do this quite often). How could I resist having a quick look at MAC? I obviously went straight to the lipstick section and after seeing that Velvet Teddy was in stock it took me about 10 seconds to press buy! So I think everyone has heard about this shade because it has been heavily linked with Kylie Jenner and those lips, but I thought I would do my own review and give my opinion on whether it is worth the hype. My little box

Wow it seems like I was just reviewing January’s box and here I am reviewing the box I received this month! The theme for February was ‘My Little Frenchie Box’, although a few of the products didn’t seem to quite fit this (apart from being red, white and blue!), this edition was probably one of my favourites! I loved the beauty products this month and the box was adorable as always. View Full Post
