Time Taken To Write a Blog Post

When I was writing my last post ( My Daily Makeup Products + Total Cost) I thought it might be interesting to time myself and see how long it actually took to write the whole post. I don’t think many non-bloggers realise how much time blogging can take up. Everything from taking photos, to writing and editing, can be time consuming. So here’s a quick break down of how long everything took: View Full Post

Am I A Makeup Snob?

I used to get so excited about cheap makeup. The first post on this blog is all about Makeup Revolution lipsticks (here if you would like to see how bad the post is). I mean 5 lipsticks for a fiver- what a bargain! However, as I’ve bought more and more makeup and read more and more blogs, I’ve noticed a change in my spending habits. I’m no longer excited by that budget eyeshadow, I want the most expensive one with the pretty packaging and the amazing formula. Rated In Beauty before the blog makeover

Just a quick post today to announce that Rated In Beauty has had a makeover! I was getting a little bored of the layout of my blog and I wanted a change. My blog is a WordPress blog and although there are loads of free themes I felt that I would have more control (and a better design) if I paid for a theme. Now I’m so much happier with my site, I think it looks more professional and I can change the colours without needing to know any code! View Full Post

Getting Started On Pinterest- What I have learnt about Pinterest. Including "should you use a business account?", how to verify your site, pinning from your site, gaining followers and how to find pins.

I’ve always struggled to get into Pinterest. I heard about bloggers getting a lot of traffic from it, but I just couldn’t seem to make it work for me. A couple of weeks ago I decided that I would make an effort and I am now a little bit obsessed! Just to be clear this isn’t going to be an advice post because I am still very new to Pinterest and there are a lot of things I have to learn, but I thought I would share with you what I have learnt so far. Also apologies if any of this seems obvious, but I am aiming this post at complete Pinterest newbies like me! View Full Post
