This is my first post for a while, after having a little break from blogging over Christmas. Over this time the weather has got a lot colder, which is not helping my dry skin at all! I thought I’d put together a list of the beauty items I’m using to try and survive the winter.
Caudalie Hand Cream
I think a good hand cream is essential in the cold weather, especially if your hands get as dry as mine. The Caudalie one is my absolute favourite, mainly due to how it smells. The orange fragrance is amazing and the actual hand cream sinks in quickly too.
Pixi Glow Tonic
Rituals Body Cream
I’m normally quite lazy and don’t really bother with body moisturisers, but during the winter I’ve got into a routine of moisturising after showering. I got this Rituals body cream in a beauty box and it does the job well, my skin feels nicely moisturised after using it.
Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub
The cold weather is not good for my lips, and dry lips + lipstick is not a good look. This Lush lip scrub helps to get rid of the dry skin on my lips, which means no more patchy lipstick! Just be warned that the scrub also tastes good and it’s hard not to lick your lips as you use it!
After using a lip scrub, a lip balm helps to moisturise the lips. You can’t really go wrong with something like Lypsl, and the strawberry one smells (and tastes) great!
Nip + Fab Serum
I recently bought the Dragons Blood Fix Serum because I was interested in trying something from the Nip + Fab range. So far I’m liking it, it absorbs into the skin really quickly and is good to use before a heavier moisturiser. I also find that it’s good to use if I’m in a rush before applying foundation because it sinks into the skin immediately.
Nuxe Hydrating Mask
I like using moisturising face masks in the winter as they add an extra boost to my dry skin. The Nuxe Creme Fraiche mask is like a thick moisturiser, which leaves my skin feeling more hydrated. I apply this at night as it takes a while to be absorbed.
So those are my cold weather, winter beauty essentials. Despite using these products keeping my dry skin hydrated is a constant battle! Have you tried any of these? Which products do you like to use in the winter?
