The clocks went forward on Sunday and that means Spring is finally here! It also means that I can bring out the lipstick shades I haven’t worn all winter. For today’s post I had a search through my lipstick collection and found 5 colours that I thought would be perfect for Spring and on into Summer.
This is a lovely pink/ nude shade. I love the finish of this lipstick, it dries to a matte, velvet texture. I have written a full review of this here if you would like to check it out.
I recently won this after entering a giveaway on the blog hiyaitsashley. Thanks again Ashley for the prizes! I chose this shade because I didn’t own many pinks and I am happy I did. Please Me is a matte formula but does not feel too dry on the lips. The shade is described as a muted rosy tinted pink, but I think it is slightly brighter than this. It’s a great shade for Spring/Summer.
I’ve never been a huge fan of Avon’s makeup after having a few bad products in the past, but I really like this lipstick. The shade is a bright purple colour and it feels comfortable and moisturising on the lips.
This is one of my all time favourites! The shade is a bright coral red and I think it is amazing for the price. The matte formula isn’t too drying and the wear time is good. I wore it to Glastonbury festival last year and it still looked alright at the end of the day, which is good considering the location and lack of mirrors!
I actually didn’t like this when I first bought it. I’ve never really liked lipsticks that have added shimmer. However after trying this again recently I have changed my mind. It is a coral shade with a gold shimmer, it actaully reminds me of the colour of a mermaid’s tail! This one might be slightly more suited to Summer, but I’ll definitely get some use out of it in Spring.
Thanks for reading, if you would like any more detail about these shades just ask me in the comments. I will also be posting lip swatches of these on my Instagram account in the next few days. Which shades will you be wearing in Spring? Do you own any of these colours?
