So I was wandering around town with a bit of time to kill and ended up picking up a few things from Superdrug. I also made an online order for the items that my local store don’t stock. I thought I’d combine these purchases and do a haul post (which I’ve never done before)! I’ve tried most of these out so I’ll take you through them and give a short review of each product.
Sleek Contour Kit Light £6.49 (HERE)
I still haven’t quite got the hang of contouring so I bought this product hoping it would make it easier. I still need to practise but the powder in the kit is easy to use. It’s not too light that it won’t show up, but it isn’t too dark either and it is easy to blend. The highlighter is also a nice subtle shade. I was impressed with the packaging, it was more solid than I was expecting and feels more expensive than it was.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer £5 (HERE)
I’ve only tried this a couple of times and it is the first primer I’ve bought. I don’t have anything to compare this to, but it is easy to use. The gel-like formula goes onto the skin a bit like a moisturiser and is meant to make your makeup last longer and smooth out your skin. First impressions of this are good, I think my foundation did last longer vs no primer, but I’m not sure if it evened out my skin.
Rimmel Lipstick in Red Nose Red £5.49 (HERE)
I was going to buy this lipstick in a different shade but the fact that £1.67 from each sale goes to charity made me buy this instead. The colour is a wearable bright red, it isn’t very moisturising but has quite a shiny finish. I have a photo of the colour on my lips on my Instagram here if you would like to know what it looks like on.
Barry M Speedy Nail Paint in Eat My Dust and In A Heartbeat £3.99 (HERE)
These were impulse purchases! I can be lazy sometimes with nail varnish and the idea that these dry quickly really appealed to me. When I applied the first layer I didn’t think I would get on with the formula because it applied patchy. However, after the second layer the finish was smooth and even. These also have different brushes to other Barry M nail varnishes, they are flatter so cover more of the nail with each stroke. I was impressed with the how quickly the varnish dried. By the time I had painted both hands the first nail on the first hand was dry! The shade in the photo is Eat My Dust.
I hope you enjoyed my first Superdrug Haul post. Overall I was impressed with the products I chose and hopefully I’ll get a lot of use out of them! Do you have any of these products? What are your opinions on them?
