I’ve recently started a new series on my blog called “Help I Gave Into The Hype”. This is the second post in the series, the first post is about the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara if you would like to check it out. If you read a lot of blogs you’ll know that the Pixi Glow Tonic is not a hidden gem. It’s probably the only toner I would be able to name! I never used to be bothered by or interested in skincare, I always thought it was a waste of money that I would rather spend on a new lipstick or nail varnish. You know something with an instant impact or instant results. However, after a lot of thought (I’d never spent much on skincare before) I gave into the hype and purchased the Glow Tonic.
I’ll have to admit that I’m probably not the best at describing skincare. I can’t take a photo of the colour like with a lipstick or the show you effects like with a mascara, but I will try my best! I’ll start by saying that I have always had pretty good skin. It was always a little dry, especially on my cheeks and forehead and I would get the occasional spot (always massive) but other than that I had no major problems. After using the Glow Tonic every day for nearly 2 months now I can honestly see an improvement in my skin. My flaky dry patches are so much better, I haven’t had any major spot incidents and my skin as a whole feels much smoother. Overall I am very happy!
Are There Any Negatives?
It depends what you see as a negative. It is a little expensive at £18 a bottle, but it does last a long time and is very good value for money. The only other negative is it’s availability. You can only buy it in store or from their website. The only store they have is in the UK is in London and the website charges £4.50 for delivery on orders under £35 (not great if you only want one item).
Overall Is It Worth The Hype?
Yes, absolutely! I know I don’t have much to compare it to, being a skincare newbie, but I am definitely in love. My skin looks better than it ever has done before and I’m pretty sure it’s down to this toner.
Have you tried the Pixi Glow Tonic? Have you tried anything else by Pixi? I haven’t yet, so I would love any recommendations!
The Pixi Glow Tonic costs £18 and is available from the Pixi website.
Update (2/10/15) – The Pixi Glow Tonic is now easier to get hold of, Cult Beauty stock it, as well as Marks and Spencer. This removes one of the only negatives about the Glow Tonic! It has been a month since I wrote this review and I still have a lot of product left after using it every day, I’m still in love and will definitely be repurchasing.
