I have been searching for my perfect nude lip colour for a while and the latest purchase on my hunt was the Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencil in the shade ‘Nude Perfection’. A lot of bloggers have been talking about these a a dupe for the NARS Velvet  Lip Pencils, I don’t own these so I can’t compare, but if they are similar I don’t think I would spend my money.

The packaging is nice and simple, a black pencil with white writing and the shade at the bottom makes it easy to see which colour you are picking up. View Full Post

Over the last few months I have bought quite a few beauty boxes and in two of these I was lucky enough to receive a full sized Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick. I received the shades Tease and Minx from the Nude range. They have a satin finish and are long lasting.

I really like the packaging, the black box with gold writing that the lipstick comes in looks elegant and the actual lipstick bullets are sturdy and the lids won’t come off in your bag. I also love the names, they are all related to the nude theme and I think they are really clever. View Full Post

After hearing a lot about the Rimmel Provocalips lip products on the internet I decided to try one myself.  I have never really loved long lasting lip colours as I  found that they tend to dry out and flake off the longer they were on my lips. However I did not have the same problem with Provocalips. Although the product was slightly dry after several hours, it did not flake at all and the colour stayed almost perfectly in place.

I have to say I am not a huge fan of the packaging. Although the little kisses on the case are cute, they also make the lip product look a little cheap. I feel like it would appeal mostly to younger teenagers. View Full Post

Hi everyone! For my first post I will be rating and reviewing three lipsticks from Makeup Revolution. These only cost £1 each and I feel that these are definitely worth it. I am a fan of nude lips at the moment so I picked up two in ‘Nude’ and ‘Treat’, as well as a berry shade in ‘Fusion’.

From left to right: Nude, Fusion, Treat.

Two of the lipsticks (‘Nude’ and ‘Fusion’) are matte shades. This means that they last longer, but are also harder to apply compared to the creamy formula of ‘Treat’.  They also show up any dryness on your lips, whereas ‘Treat’ feels very moisturising.
