The clocks went forward on Sunday and that means Spring is finally here! It also means that I can bring out the lipstick shades I haven’t worn all winter. For today’s post I had a search through my lipstick collection and found 5 colours that I thought would be perfect for Spring and on into Summer. View Full Post
Last month I wrote about my first MAC purchase, a lipstick in the shade Spirit (here). I really loved it so I knew it wouldn’t be long before I bought another one. I was having a browse on the Debenhams website when I noticed they had 10% off beauty (they seem to do this quite often). How could I resist having a quick look at MAC? I obviously went straight to the lipstick section and after seeing that Velvet Teddy was in stock it took me about 10 seconds to press buy! So I think everyone has heard about this shade because it has been heavily linked with Kylie Jenner and those lips, but I thought I would do my own review and give my opinion on whether it is worth the hype. For today’s post I have decided to write a review on the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in the shade Nude-ist. I’ve seen quite a few reviews on this lipstick from Bourjois and they have been mostly very positive so I gave in and bought one for myself. As you may be aware if you’ve read any of my previous lipstick posts I am a little obsessed with nude lips at the moment, so I had to choose the shade Nude-ist. View Full Post
This lipstick is actually my first MAC purchase. I had obviously heard loads about MAC by reading other blogs but I’ve always thought that £15.50 for a lipstick was a little expensive. I eventually gave in after reading countless good reviews and I am so glad that I did! The shade I went for was a pinky brown shade called Spirit. I think because I am quite pale it looks more brown on me, but it would look pinker on darker skin tones. View Full Post
I can’t resist a good make up sale, so when I saw one of my favourite brands Illamasqua had one I had to purchase a couple of items. The items I chose were an intense lipgloss in the shade ‘Facade’ and a precision ink eyeliner in the shade ‘Havoc’. I love the simple black and gold packaging of Illamasqua products, they all look so elegant. View Full Post
In my last post I spoke about how I was on the hunt for my perfect nude lip colour. The next lipstick I decided to try was another by Maybelline, a Color Sensational lipstick in the shade ‘Tantalising Taupe’.
The packaging looks classy and the shade is printed on the bottom, which makes it easy to see which colour you are picking up. The lid also feels quite secure so you wouldn’t have to worry about it falling off in your bag. View Full Post
