It’s nearly the end of March so I thought it was time for my second lipstick of the month post. Last month I chose a liquid lipstick by Gerard Cosmetics (you can read the post here) and I still wear it all the time. As you might have guessed from the photo above the winner this month comes from one of my favourite brands for lipstick, MAC. A few weeks ago I went on a trip to Vienna with a couple of friends and while I was excited for the holiday, I was also excited about duty free shopping! I didn’t go to the MAC counter with any shade in mind, but after swatching
a few lots of shades I decided on Dubonnet. View Full Post
I’ve decided to start a new series on my blog called “Lipstick of The Month”. If you’ve read any other posts on this blog you might have noticed that I’ve got a bit of a thing for lipstick. No other beauty product makes me as happy as a new lipstick, and you can never have too many nudes right? So I thought why not dedicate a whole post each month to a lip product I’ve been loving? Whether it be a new discovery or an old favourite. The product I’ve chosen to be my first ever lipstick of the month is a new discovery and it is… *dramatic pause*… the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Serenity”. Before this purchase I hadn’t bought a MAC lipstick for a while. I think I convinced myself that they were too popular and I was just buying them because of the hype. However, I have now fallen back in love with MAC. Over the summer I was on the hunt for my perfect peachy nude. I never really found the shade and to be honest I forgot all about it. That was until I saw Shy Girl. I love a good daytime lipstick and Shy Girl is perfect. View Full Post
I am a massive lipstick fan. I get more excited about buying a lipstick than I do any other beauty product. There are just so many different formulas and shades out there that I need to try! This does come with a problem though- I’m terrible at finishing a lipstick (I don’t think I’ve ever done it). I’ll use one a few times, put it in a bag and completely forget that I have it. I do however have a small collection that I wear regularly. These are the more neutral, daytime friendly shades and I’ll give you a rundown of my top 5 most used lipsticks. I have tried to represent the colour of the lipsticks accurately in the photos, but I would say they all look a tiny bit darker on the lips than the picture shows.
No points for originality here, but it really is the perfect daytime shade. I have written a full review on Velvet Teddy here.

If you have read any of my past posts then you might know that I’m a bit of a lipstick addict. The problem with this, however, is my lips can sometimes feel dry, especially if I have been wearing a matte formula a lot. I always use lip balm to keep my lips in good condition, so when I was sent 3 Lypsyl products I was more than happy to test them out. Lypsyl is a brand that I haven’t used for a while, but I always seem to mention. I don’t know if anyone else does this but if I need lip balm I always ask, “Does anyone have any Lypsyl?”. Anyway, the products sent to me were the Original Lypsyl, Strawberry Polka Dot and Cherry Blossom. View Full Post
Lipstick is probably my favourite makeup item to buy. It’s fair to say I have a slight obsession. I realised recently that I don’t have many “summer” shades and as the weather is getting warmer I had the perfect excuse to buy some! I do have a few oranges but they are all quite bright and I wanted something more subtle. Zoeva is a brand I have always wanted to try (I still have my eye on their brushes and eyeshadow palettes), so I decided to buy a couple of their Luxe Cream Lipsticks. As I wanted a daytime lip colour I chose two of the lightest shades “Easy Spirit” (on the left in both photos) and “Faith and Love” (on the right in both photos). View Full Post
