My Little Cosy Box- November Review

A few weeks ago I received my second parcel from My Little Box, ‘My Little Cosy Box’. I have now had a chance to test out most of the products so here is my review.

My Little Cosy Box

I’ve subscribed to a lot of beauty boxes in the past, including Birchbox, Glossybox and YouBeauty Discovery, however this is my favourite. Everything from the cute illustrations to the lifestyle products really help this box stand out from the rest.

Every box contains an illustration by their own artist Kanako. This month it was accompanied by a quote from Francoise Sagen, who (according to Wikipedia) was a French playwright. I love these little cards and  I might have to frame them all.

The box also contains a My Little World magazine (which for some reason I forgot to photograph). The magazine is filled with things like beauty tips, photographs and even recipes. This months edition seemed to have a lot of photographs of a lady in her jumper!

Two lifestyle products were included, which this month were a tiny coffee mug and a microwavable cushion. The mug is so adorable, it  has another Kanako illustration printed on the front, with the words ‘How is your day gonna be?’ on the back and the word ‘Happy’ on the inside. The cushion is also very cute, I really like the red and white spot design. However, I did try it out and microwaved it for the recommended maximum time of 30 seconds and it was barely lukewarm.

Inside the box there were also 3 beauty products. These came in a drawstring bag with a cute bow print.

Firstly there was a mascara created by My Little Box’s beauty brand ‘My Little Beauty’. According to the card that accompanied the products the value of this is £16. I have tried this mascara and to be honest I wouldn’t pay for it again. It is good at separating lashes and  did not go clumpy, but I didn’t see how it was much better than some of the cheaper mascaras I use.

Also in the bag was a Yves Rocher eyeshadow. I received a coffee brown matte shade, which is very wearable during the day, but it can also be built up. I do like this colour, although I do have a lot of brown shades already, it is highly pigmented and lasted the whole day when I wore it. This product is worth £13.20.

The final beauty item was the Starliner black waterproof eyeliner by Arcancil, worth £5.50. I really liked this eyeliner, it is very pigmented and lasts all day without being difficult to remove at the end of it. It is very creamy, which is both a positive and a negative. It applies very smoothly and easily, but this means it needs sharpening a lot and creating certain styles such the cat eye look is quite difficult.

Below are swatches of the eyeshadow and eyeliner:

Overall I really loved this box, everything fit in well with the cosy theme and the beauty products were very usable. This box is so unique and different to other boxes available and I am really looking forward to what they send me in my December box.

Overall Beauty Ratings:

My Little Beauty Mascara- 5.5/10

Yves Rocher Eyeshadow- 7/10

Arcancil Eyeliner- 6.5/10
