The Latest In Beauty Glamour boxes are probably some of my favourite beauty boxes. They always contain a good mix of items, ranging from “hype” products to new discoveries. The latest Spring Edit contains 7 products + a £10 Murad gift card.
Bareminerals Bareskin Foundation– A small 3ml sample size of this foundation is included in the box. I like the idea of being able to try out a foundation several times before purchasing. How many times have you bought a foundation that looks perfect in the shop, but when you go to use it at home it’s completely the wrong shade? Unfortunately I tried the Bareskin foundation a while ago and the formula just didn’t work with my skin.
MUA Luxe Eyeshadow Palette– It’s nice to see a product from MUA in the box because I haven’t tried any of their products since I first started experimenting with lipstick. For £1 each you can get an idea of which shades suit you without breaking the bank. The colours in the eyeshadow palette are very wearable and the colour payoff seems good too.
Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss– Undoubtedly this is the star of the box. The eyeliner is worth more than the box itself, so if you’re looking for a new one the box is very good value. I already own the shade “Havoc” and it’s simple to apply and stays put all day. The only downside is the bottle, from my experience, is easy to knock over…
Malin and Goetz Face Cream– Any moisturiser is good for me at the moment, with my very dry skin. This cream contains Vitamin E and is good to put on before makeup because it absorbs into the skin quickly.
Murad Exfoliating Cleanser– This cleanser contains manual and chemical exfoliators to help smooth and brighten the skin. I’ve tried this once and I can confirm that my skin felt softer and smoother.
Morrocanoil Treatment Light– The light version of the original formula is aimed at people with fine or light coloured hair. This is perfect for me as my hair is quite thin. You can apply it to wet or dry hair to improve elasticity and moisturise the hair.
M&S Rosie for Autograph Perfume– The perfume from model Rosie Huntington-Whitely combines jasmine, french rose and warm musk. For me personally it’s little too heavy, but it is a nice evening fragrance.
£10 Murad Gift Card– These kind of offers appear a lot in beauty boxes but usually in the small print it says something like “offer valid when you spend over £60”. There is no minimum spend with this voucher, so if you like the product in the box you can add to your collection without having to spend a fortune.
Overall I think that while the Glamour Spring Edit is not my favourite edition of the box, it contains some great products, especially the Illamasqua eyeliner. I’m also looking forward to using the Morrocanoil treatment and the MUA eyeshadow palette. The best news is that Latest In Beauty have now reduced the price of the box to £14.99, which I think is great value!
The Glamour Spring Edit box costs £14.99 plus postage and is available from Latest In Beauty (It’s not available for much longer though, so get in there quick if you want one).
